Roll-up banner sizes
Also called: ロールアップバナー, pull-up banner
A roll-up (retractable, pull-up) banner lives rolled inside its base and is pulled up onto a pole. In the US the standard is 33 × 81 in; in Korea and Europe it is 850 × 2000 mm, with 1000 and 1200 mm widths for bigger stands. One Korean printer does not accept roll-ups shorter than 1000 mm.
The bottom of the print disappears into the base. On a 33 × 81 in stand the visible area is roughly 33 × 75 in, and templates typically ask for 3 in clear at the bottom and 1 in at the top and sides. Japan's Raksul asks for 80 mm of bleed top and bottom but 20 mm at the sides — roll-ups are one of the few products where bleed differs on each edge.

Bleed is how far artwork must extend past each trim edge; safe is how far inside the trim line text and logos should stay. Print shops ask for slightly different values, so always follow the file guide of the shop you order from.
